The Texas Northern Model Railroad Club will host an open house for the public on Saturday & Sunday, March 28-29, 2026. The open house will run from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. We will have our beautiful, fully sceniced 2,000 sq. ft. HO scale model railroad layout open to the public and will have trains running throughout the open house. Please drop by and check out all the updates we've made to the HO layout and our new, under construction N scale layout since our last public open house. Memberships are available. Admission is free and plenty of free parking is available. We hope see you there!

We are very pleased to announce that we are now accepting orders for immediate shipment of our beautiful MKT auto rack produced by Intermountain Railway Co. exclusively for the Texas Northern Model Railroad Club. We commissioned an exclusive production run of this HO scale bi-level enclosed auto rack by Intermountain Railway Co. This particular car has never been produced in this road name and paint scheme before. The club has spent countless hours researching and collaborating with Katy fans on this car. We've even matched specific car and racks numbers for the most authentic model possible. Cars will be sold individually or in a set including all six different car numbers, limited to 50 of each number (total run of 300). Available car/rack numbers:
